About Shadowed Pines
Shadowed Pines is a dark history podcast with a hefty dose of ghosts, hauntings, monsters, unsolved mysteries, or general strangeness. Each episode focuses on a true event from the past. They’re told with atmosphere, archival research, and a bit of detective work.
These stories are grounded documented history, like old newspapers, case files, and eyewitness accounts. I also bring them to life with dramatized scenes and atmospheric detail, but my goal isn’t to sensationalize the dark events.
So why the Pacific Northwest? Besides the fact that I live here, the Pacific Northwest has a long history of shipwrecks, strange creatures, restless spirits, and unsolved mysteries. Shadowed Pines dives into those stories with a focus on lesser known tales.
Meet Shadowed Pines Host, Jacob Rice
Hi there. Thanks for stopping by. I’m Jacob Rice, and please call me Jake.
My inspiration for Shadowed Pines was simply because I love history, like dark history, especially with some haunted history rolled into it. I have another site, GhostlyActivities.com, which covers haunted tales and ghost hunts. And you can’t really cover that subject without a bit of dark history involved. I found myself enjoying the historical research just as much as investigating a haunted place (or haunt in paranormal lingo).
My goal with Shadowed Pines is to tell the dark tales lost to history in the Pacific Northwest with a touch of flair. That’s it, nothing more.
Thanks for stopping by to learn more about Shadowed Pines. I hope you enjoy the episodes!
